Our Pastors

Pastor Jessie Still

Jessie serves as the Pastor of Worship, Teaching, Pastoral Care & Spiritual Formation. He loves coffee and all things sweet (especially his wife and two daughters!). This super-extrovert and musician was once a very shy kid, who has a passion to value every person.

Jessie began his ministry journey as the youth pastor of Spirit of Christ, then went on to establish the House of Prayer- East Lansing before stepping in as pastor in 2013.  His life vision is to be a friend of God and be part of raising up a supernatural, multi-generational, multi-ethnic spiritual family that influences our workplaces, neighborhood, city and state with the goodness of God and the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Kevin Shoemaker

Kevin serves as the Pastor of Administration & Outreach. He is a husband and father -- a true family man with nine kids, 3 sons-in-law, and five grandkids (so far!).  In his free time, he enjoys adventures in traveling and hiking (with his big family, of course!) and coaching the local Homeschool Cross Country and Track program.

Kevin was previously the Senior Pastor at Capital City Vineyard Church (before it merged with Spirit of Christ in 2026) which he planted 2001, with a heart to reach the capital city and the campus with the Gospel of Jesus (which is still his passion!). Before that, he served as associate pastor for ten years at Lakeshore Vineyard in Holland, Michigan.

Kevin also serves as the Area Leader for all of the Vineyard USA churches in west Michigan.
